What Kanbanana is

A free board for robotics teams, made by FLL Team #4734, the Cannon School Brainy Yaks. It is free for everyone, permanently. There is no paid tier, nothing to upgrade to, and nothing to cancel.

It is a volunteer project. It is offered in good faith and looked after carefully, but it is not a company with staff, and it comes with no guarantee that it will be available at any given moment.

Accounts

• Give a real name your teammates will recognise. You do not have to give your full name.
• Keep your password to yourself. If you are given a Robocode, treat it like a key: it signs you in.
• One account per person. Do not use somebody else's.
• If you are under 13, a coach or teacher sets up your account for you. That is what Robocodes are for.

A coach who creates accounts for students is responsible for having the standing to do so, whether that is a school's authority or a parent's consent.

How to behave

A shared board is shared. What you write is visible to your whole team, and often to a coach.

• Do not post anything that bullies, threatens or humiliates somebody.
• Do not post other people's personal information.
• Do not upload a photograph of somebody who has not agreed to it.
• Do not use Kanbanana to break the law, or to try to break into it.

Coaches and team owners can remove content and remove people from their team. We can suspend or remove an account that is being used to harm somebody, and we will do that without waiting to be asked twice.

Your work is yours

The cards, lists and notes your team creates belong to your team. We do not claim ownership of them, we do not sell them, and we do not use them to train anything. We store and display them so the product works, and nothing else.

You can export a board at any time from the board menu, and export everything linked to your account from your account page, under Your data.

Season information

Mission lists and point values are transcribed from published rulebooks as an aid, and are editable because mid-season updates change them. They are not official, and the published rulebook is always the authority. Do not settle an argument at a competition with this app.

Kanbanana is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any competition organiser or league.

What we do not promise

Kanbanana is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that it will never lose data, or that it will suit any particular purpose. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The export in a board's menu gives you a readable copy of that board to keep; it is a record, not a backup Kanbanana can load back in.

To the extent the law allows, the people who make Kanbanana are not liable for losses arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability for something that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can delete your account yourself from your account page, under Your data, at any time, without asking. We can close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why if we do.
